My 19-Day Glasses Nightmare: A Warning About 'Express' Shipping! π€
I'm here to share my absolutely terrible online shopping experience, hoping to prevent anyone else from making the same mistake I did. It's been a nightmare trying to get my new glasses, and I just can't believe how this company operates. I ordered my glasses on March 30th, paying extra for express shipping, which was supposed to get them to me in 3-5 days because my old glasses broke. Day 5 rolled around, and they were still in production. Day 10? Still in production! This company is terrible, and I truly believe someone doesn't give a crap about their customers. It was utterly frustrating, which is why I felt compelled to reach out to customer service and now leave this review.
Customer: "Hi, I'm calling about order [Order Number]. I placed it on March 30th and paid for express shipping, which stated 3-5 days. It's now well past that, and my order is still showing as 'in production.' What is going on?" CS Rep: "Hello, I understand your frustration, and I sincerely apologize for the significant delay with your order. Let me pull up your details. Yes, I see your order for glasses is still in the production phase. We've experienced an unexpected backlog, which has affected some express orders." Customer: "An 'unexpected backlog'? I relied on that 3-5 day window! My old glasses are broken, and I've been without them for nearly two weeks now. On Day 11, I called to ask for a shipping refund, which I did receive, but now you're telling me they're still 6 days out on delivery? This is completely unacceptable. Day 19 or whatever, and I still have no glasses!" CS Rep: "I am truly sorry for the inconvenience and the misleading timeline. We definitely fell short of our express shipping promise, and I understand your frustration. While I can't magically speed up the production, I'd like to offer you a 20% discount on this order as an additional apology for the prolonged wait and the disruption this has caused. I will also personally monitor your order's progress to ensure it ships as soon as possible." Customer: "A discount is something, but honestly, I just want my glasses. This entire experience has been terrible. You clearly don't care about your customers."
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap and to warn all my four-eyed friends to never shop here.
